The Days Between

Issue 2
Switzerland

Most of my career, I’m on the move. Settling down in one place for a few days let alone a few weeks is a challenge I’m still figuring out. I don’t really let days just flow. Instead, I pack my schedule so full that I never quite finish everything. I either try to sleep or try to fit too many things into the day.

The backstory

Quiet Switzerland. Loud inside.

In security training they always emphasize the practical. Fix your medical issues, especially your teeth. A reminder that the smallest things matter in the field. My last training was in summer and the one before was three years ago. I kept avoiding the dentist.

Zurich in November is cold and I feel like I can hide a bit, but that does not last long as I have to prepare for the exhibition and the launch of Das Wilde Feld. The prints were made by Printolino, a small shop run by someone who really cares about printing and framing.

First of all I wish your mother a rapid healing process. With the back it typically takes long and is not easy. Your report reminds me of taking more pictures of private life as I also lost my father because of an aneurysm, but very early when I was only one year old. My father was also hobby photographer so I feel connected taking pictures today. Today I began reading "das wild Feld".
