Things I believe (Now)

The last days were loud and emotional. I needed to reduce complexity and write things down. This list is an attempt to find clear paths from my point of view, including roads I have not taken before, figuratively and literally (see photograph taken Monday), while getting closer to what matters to me. Bring it on 2026.

FOUNDATION
1. TRUST
Trust my instincts and my stomach.
If something feels wrong, it usually is.
Don't become complacent.
I remain focused until I am back in safety.
2. LONGEVITY
I am 42.
Strength, fitness, and resilience are part of the job.
My body should not be a liability.
Training is part of the work.
Balance keeps me from crashing into walls.
3. BREATHE
I make real time off.
No planning and no schedule.
I rest without feeling guilty.
I think and make plans to do nothing.
