Join a workshop with world renowned Leica photographer Dominic Nahr. He will be in his old home town Hong Kong for a limited time and grant you a unique opportunity to get an intense learning experience.

The Workshop

The Leica workshop will consist of a walk through Hong Kong, looking at how to produce powerful imagery with your camera by searching for light, colours, and people. Along the way, Dominic advises on how to get the best out of your camera and how to work a scene. He will provide insights to his work with international publications and in conflict zones. There will be time to further discuss photographic practice, storytelling and gear.

Dominic was born in Switzerland in 1983 and grew up in Hong Kong. He won a number of awards, including the first Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award, World Press Photo and Pictures of the Year International. He had numerous exhibitions including this year’s prestigious Rencontres d'Arles in France. He was part of the 10x10 exhibition for the 100th anniversary of the Leica Camera and produced the first images for the new Leica Sofort Polaroid camera, which were exhibited at Photokina 2016 in Cologne. Dominic has worked on assignment for TIME Magazine, National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Stern and LFI magazine.
